Deposit, Terms and Agreement

Communication and full disclosure are always important to us. Program tuition is all inclusive for instruction, food, accommodations, excursions, and activities from the time you arrive on Lisbon Airport. However, you are responsible for any air travel, spending money and unanticipated student expenses such as medical, special travel, and phone calls. We will address any specific questions after we receive your application.

A 300 € non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot on any OceanExplorers program. Available payment methods are PayPal and credit card.

Terms and Agreement

Deposit fee is non-refundable. Tuition is refundable until 30 days before the start of the program due to cancellation fee of 100€. Cancellations must be submitted in writing/ email and received by the date stated above. Payments can be made by credit card or PayPal. Payments at the application moment (credit card/PayPal )are not charged with additional fees. However, if you choose to pay the balance later by credit card/PayPal there is a 3.5% fee that is applied. Final program tuition is due 30 days before the start of the program.Upon receipt of your deposit payment you will receive a final confirmation via email. Later you will be emailed a full registration packet, containing general information (equipment list, rules & regulations, etc.), and forms to complete and return. If you submit your application form less than 30 days prior to your program date, the full tuition amount must be paid. OceanExplorers reserves the right to cancel unpaid applicants whose full tuition is more than 10 days past due, with no return of fees. Switching courses may be possible through May 30th.  OceanExplorers reserves the right to cancel any program because of inadequate enrolment that makes the program economically unfeasible to operate. In this event, we will refund your tuition paid. OceanExplorers reserves the right to use the images taken during the activities to promote future activities. OceanExplorers is not responsible for costs incurred by a participants family in preparing for a program that is altered or cancelled. By submitting this application, I agree to these terms.

Declaration

Declaration of OceanExplorers Activities and Risks. OceanExplorers  activities  have  inherent  risks,  many  of  which  cannot  be  eliminated without  destroying  the  unique  character  of  the activities.  These  risks,  inherent  and otherwise,  can  cause  loss  or  damage  to  Students’  equipment and  accidental  injury. The following   document describes some of these risks: OceanExplorers  programs  are  conducted  by the sea, beach, lecture rooms and laboratories as  described  in  program-specific  materials  furnished  to  Parents  and Students. Activities vary from program to program and include the following: Water   sports   activities   include snorkeling, scuba, swimming and surfing.  Shore  activities  include  transportation  to  and  from  activities  and  airports  by  way  of  airplane,  taxi,  train,  public  bus  or  rented  vehicle.  Other activities include exploring local cities, visit aquariums and museums during free time or within activities and hiking. OceanExplorers   has   contracted   with   independent   contractors   for   the   performance   of   certain   services   including PADI scuba diving  and surfing and  may  require  execution  of  certain extra documents,  including  releases  of  claims  against  them.  OceanExplorers  is  seeking  in  this,  its  Declaration  of  Activities  and  Risks,  an  assumption  of  the  program’s  risks  and  other  protection  from  liability,  on  its  own  behalf. The  description  above  of  the  risks  of  OceanExplorers  activities  is  not  complete  and  other  unknown  or  unanticipated  risks  may  result  in  property  loss or injury.  Student  and  Parent  acknowledge  that  participation  in  the  program  is  purely  voluntary,  and  with  full  knowledge  of  the  inherent  and  other  risks.
